Designed by Mona Zillah (BunnyMuff Designs), this colorwork hooded cape has a stunning raven motif that will make heads turn.  The DK weight yarn comes in your choice of colors (Thistle, undyed natural brown/paired with navy dyed Thistle; or bold red dyed Thistle/navy dyed Thistle).  Pasture-raised with love on Five Sisters Farm in Plainfield NH, the soft Shetland yarn is approximately 250 yards/skein; each skein is 100 g, and was processed at Battenkill Fiber Mill.  The colored yarn was hand-dyed at the farm exclusively for this knit kit collaboration with Mona.
 
The pattern contains directions for two options of bottom edging (cameo or leaf).  It is worked flat over the hood and then joined to continue and work in the round with a steek.  Once steeked, stitches are picked up and the border edge is worked in the round.  The project uses the stranded knitting technique, stockinette, and linen stitch.  It is intended for experienced knitters who are comfortable with large colorwork charts, floats, and steeking.
