Here's a fun project for a cold winter day: thrummed mittens! "Thrums" are pieces of wool roving, with the ends folded to the center and twisted. The twisted center is then knit into the mitts, one after another, so that the insides are lined with the wooliest, softest, warmest nest to snuggle your hands into.
These are made with our Five Sisters Farm light worsted Paisley, and Dahlia pin roving. Shetland natural colors are so gorgeous, all the different combinations possible!!
Ta da!! Not as hard as you would think!
